janedoe! asked: I am four months pregnant, and go back to the doctor on Feb.6. At my last doctors appointment he told me that I havent gained any weight so far, but my stomach was growing so the baby was gaining all the weight. I was advised to only gain about 20 pounds during my whole pregnancy because with my first pregnany I gained ALOT of weight and I was already a little over weight at the beginning of this pregnancy. I weighed myself at my mothers house and it looks like I have gained 3-5 pounds since January 9. Is this bad considering this is the only weight I have gained so far?!? How to I keep my weight from sky rocketing like it did with my first son?

chachatnp asked: Most of the websites I’ve visited seem to be scams asking you to purchase their book and information. I believe if there are grants out there, no one should have to pay for this information or to apply. If you know of any legitamit free grant programs for single parents, single mothers, teachers, low income home owners, etc….please let me know.
I am a single mother with 2 children solely supporting our household on a full time low income budget. (TSS worker) Paying bills and the mortgage has become unbearable due to the courts terminating the support I use to receive for my daughter. Her father could afford a corrupt lawyer using her support payments, and I had to go bankrupt. I also qualify and am presently receiving food stamps and other low income help from utility companies, school, etc. My other child’s father is in and out of drug rehabs and prison, so getting support from him via the court system has been a joke for the past 14 yrs. Please help if you can. Thanks so much. :

If you could help that would be great and please give sources so I can find out more information thnx so much

Curly asked: What happens to these children? Grandma’s? What if Grandma lives 2,000 miles away?
What if the father has never been in the children’s lives?
Do these children end up in the foster care system?
I came across an article about a mother who is deployed, and her mother moved back to her home out of the country. I never really thought about this, now I can’t stop thinking about these mothers and children

JB asked: I am seriously interested in starting a non-profit organization for new mothers/fathers and I am not sure how to go about doing it. I basically want to have a website (and eventually a store if the site picks up) where new mothers/fathers can get diapers, clothes, food, parenting books, etc for no cost. I want to make it legit and legal. Does anyone have any tips on how to go about starting it and the legality issues as well. Thank you so much!

Lucy asked: I’m looking to go back to college, I graduated back in 2003. I’m a single mom and I work one full time job. I’ve been searching for grants that can help me further my education and I’ve applied for the pell grant and another one. But that leaves me about 5,000 short for school. I don’t want to have to apply for a loan because I know they check credit and that takes off points on my credit score. Does anyone know of any charities, business, government grants or scholarships that award or give money for college? I don’t know if it helps but my major is digital movie production.
