Is it against the law to claim a dependent even if they are living overseas from time to time?

Friday, March 27th, 2009
unhappy asked:

I currently claim my mother as a dependent since she lives with me year round, has only social security income.
First of all, I am allowed to claim her under these circumstances right?

Secondly I also have a sibling who lives overseas but stays here at my home with no income to speak of from time to time. Can I also claim her as long as no one else claims her on taxes?

What can I do to stop mothers from dumping their kids on me?

Saturday, March 21st, 2009
kitty cat asked:

I am so glad Summer is over and I don’t have these 2 mothers dumping their kids on me during the day. Now they want them to come over after school and come home for bed or dinner. These mothers would go shopping and never tell me. There kids would ask for food and lunch. I would have to take off during the day with my daughter to get away from them. The one mother use to not answer her cell phone to get her kid. Another mother would have her daughter and 2 year old over my house at 7:30 in the morning. Don’t these Mother’s realize that when the kids don’t come for lunch, they are burdening me. Its not just me, but a couple of my friends have to be unwitting babysitters for these useless Mom’s. I don’t blame the kids, I blame the useless Mom’s. What can we do to stop this?

What is wrong with women especially mothers?

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009
Edgar asked:

I’m so happy I’m a man. I’m so happy I don’t have to deal with critical women breathing down my neck. What is wrong with some women? Do they not have any compassion? Do they have to have to have to be the best mother in the world?

I asked a question about my wife leaving. Instead of supportive answers explaining why she did it I got answers stating I should turn her over to the police, divorce her, and that she’s not a good mother. No wonder people go crazy. It’s because of you selfish, non-caring, witchy mothers out there who judge people. My wife is the the best woman I’ve ever met. She cares and loves for our children. She has issues but who doesn’t.

I can’t even imagine the stress you all go through just from fellow moms. For those who are treated like crap I’m sorry. For those who treat other moms like crap you’ll get yours.

The real question is why are so many mother so rude, inconsiderate, and just plain nasty?
Regina. I don’t have any problem with women in general. I think women are amazing. I DO have a problem with how women treat other women. It’s sick how some of you think you are the absolute best. Even putting down each others parenting.

My wife left I believe due to post partum depression. She was unable to breastfeed which really stressed her out. She was worn, torn, and I really hope she comes home soon. I just want to be there for her to help her through it and let her know everything is going to be okay.

Monday, March 16th, 2009
*Julianne* asked:

The Mexican government demands that childern born in prison must live with their mothers untill they are 6 years old.
They also do this in Canada but it is the mothers choose I believe and it is less common! In Canada the children can live with their mothers untill they turn 4.
In the US Children aren’t allowed to be in prison with their parents.

First time mother am I in labor?

Saturday, March 14th, 2009
Jacqueline S asked:

I’m 37 weeks 3 days pregnant with my first and have already been in the hospital with false labor and made to feel extrememly stupid by the nurses and midwives. I was last in the hospital over a week ago. The midwife checked me and I wasn’t dilated or effaced but she said I had a “very soft” cervix whatever that meant…Then two days ago at my scheduled appt. I asked for my cervix to be checked and she told me no, that nothing had probably changed since she had last checked me. I’ve read enough to know that these things can change overnight…So yesterday around 3 in the afternoon I had horrible stomach cramps and had diahrrea (first time my whole pregnancy) and the stomach cramps did not subside. I only got about 2 hrs of sleep last night because of these cramps (maybe contractions? feel like severe menstrual cramps can’t walk through them take my breath away) I called my office and asked if i could come in to be checked they told me they didn’t have neone available. What do i do?

Why wouldn’t siblings just copy what mothers do, why wouldn’t they copy how mothers teach?
Why wouldn’t siblings just copy what mothers do, why wouldn’t they copy how mothers teach?

They have different goals, in what way and how would this have an influence?

Why do they have different goals to begin with?
